Pre-Feasibility Studie zu Kohlenstoff in Miombo-Wäldern

Environmental degradation poses significant challenges to the woodland and savanna ecosystems in Zambia and Tanzania. These areas suffer from recurring wild fires and significant deforestation rates, threatening biodiversity and local communities. The project aimed to conserve these unique ecosystems and their biodiversity while sequestering carbon through improved fire management, reduced emissions from deforestation and forest degradation, and potentially afforestation to combat climate change. Unique was selected for its expertise in land use carbon projects to conduct a pre-feasibility study. This study assessed the viability of generating carbon credits under recognized standards.
