Green Climate Fund Concept Note Entwicklung

The North central Coast of Vietnam is highly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. Thua Thien Hue province has significant potential but requires targeted adaptation measures. LuxDev has provided technical support to the province since 2013; as accredited entity at the Green Climate Fund (GCF) it seeks to deepen cooperation through a suitable adaptation funding proposal for the land use sector. The aim of the project was to prepare a GCF project proposal for a climate change adaptation intervention in the province by the end of 2022. For this purpose, the team explored and identified strategic entry points and supported the concept note development to meet GCF funding priorities. Unique was contracted due to its local presence in Hue, as well as its extensive expertise in GCF proposals and the land use sector of Vietnam.
