Naandi Foundation and the Livelihoods Fund are taking an important step to develop and implement a landscape project in the Araku Valley. The project includes the restoration of coffee tree plantations, agroforestry systems, and reforestation of barren hilltops. New units for the fabrication of organic compost will be created to supply the quantity and the quality necessary for organic fertilizer. Nine million trees will be planted over 18,000 hectares. The project will have a significant climate impact, storing 2.3 million tons of CO2 equivalent in trees and soil over the 20 year period of the project.
