Evaluation Studies for Global Programme Soil Protection and Soil Restoration

The BMZ global project “Transformation of Food Systems” promotes the special initiative “Transformation of Agricultural and Food Systems” and contributes globally to improving rural populations in developing countries. The global project aims to promote the widespread implementation of climate-smart soil protection and the rehabilitation of agricultural soils. Unique was commissioned to perform evaluation studies in seven country packages. These studies aimed to ensure impact and results in the expiring country packages, to ensure accountability to the BMZ, and to contribute to internal learning from the project. The global project was evaluated according to the coherence, relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact, and sustainability criteria.
