The BMZ global project “Transformation of Food Systems” promotes the special initiative “Transformation of Agricultural and Food Systems” and makes a global contribution to improving the situation of rural populations in developing countries. The global project aims at the widespread implementation of climate-smart soil protection and the rehabilitation of agricultural soils. Unique was commissioned to perform evaluation studies in seven country packages. The aim of these studies was to ensure impact and results in the expiring country packages, to ensure accountability to the BMZ and to contribute to internal learning from the project. The global project was evaluated according to the criteria of coherence, relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability.
