Forest Landscape Restoration (FLR) includes different nature-based solutions that address global environmental and development targets, including climate change, biodiversity, food security and poverty alleviation. The Global Landscape Forum (GLF), led by the Center for International Forestry Research and the World Agroforestry Center (CIFOR-ICRAF) and mostly donor-financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection, has become one of the most important institutions for promoting FLR among all stakeholders and providing relevant knowledge. CIFOR commissioned Unique to review the GLF’s activities between 2018 and 2023, as a basis for revising its results framework with key donors.
