The project “Strengthening of Certified Forest Management” was conceived as part of the Sustainable Forest Management Program in the Congo Basin in order to contribute to the sustainable management of natural resources together with partners from the Central African Forest Commission. The project was carried out with a focus on Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Republic of the Congo and the Central African Republic, and later also Gabon. Unique was commissioned to carry out an ex-post evaluation of the first phase of the project. Unique was commissioned to evaluate the development success of the project based on the six criteria of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development’s (OECD) Development Assistance Committee (DAC) and to systematically record the intended and unintended project impacts.
