Review of Agriculture, Food Security and Biodiversity Project Portfolio

Under its core area “Life without Hunger”, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) will implement its strategy “Sustainable Agri-Food Systems – A World without Hunger”, which it launched in December 2021 as part of its BMZ 2030 reform process. It is expected that the technical cooperation portfolio in Ethiopia will reflect these changes in terms of strategy, thematic orientation and clustering of interventions. To meet this expectation, a portfolio review of the current technical cooperation in the agriculture and rural development sector was necessary. Because of its joint experience in organizational development, strategic advising, the sector and the country, the joint team of Como Consult GmbH and Unique was selected to review the portfolio.
