The Government of Tanzania is aiming to diversify economic activity through increased private sector investment. The horticulture subsector in Tanzania has made good progress after a period of slow growth in horticultural exports through the mid-2010s. Despite these achievements, issues remain and attracting more foreign direct investment is a priority. UNIQUE was commissioned to improve the Government’s understanding of current and future horticulture products, in particular their relative competitiveness at the domestic regional and international levels.
