Strategy Support for the Global Biodiversity Framework

The global loss of biodiversity continues unabated despite international efforts under the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF). The United Nations declared 2021-2030 to be the UN Decade on ecosystem restoration. The GIZ plans to expand its portfolio in the fields of biodiversity and ecosystem restoration within the framework of the UN Decade. GIZ’s goal was to reposition itself among various donor organizations. Unique was assigned to support the GIZ in the process for its new positioning in these thematic fields and to derive strategic recommendations based on relevant analysis.
